| A big welcome to the
many new readers of The Victoria’s monthly
newsletter and an equally warm hello to everyone
else! January saw the return of our popular
2 courses for £10 every Monday and Tuesday.
Due to the success of this offer we have now extended
it until the end of February so make sure you book
up your table soon. |

| The two big calendar
events this month are of course Valentine's Day
(February 14th) and Shrove Tuesday (24th February).
See below for more information on what The Victoria
will be offering. |

| Well, what a start to
February we’ve had! Whilst everyone else was
knee deep and building snowmen we were snowed under
with customers! It was a crazy day for us; the snow
meant that most of our staff and suppliers were
unable to reach The Victoria. Our customers however
turned up on skis and sledges in vast numbers! For
those of you who phoned or dropped in and we were
unable to accommodate on Monday we hope to see you
again in the near future. |

Upcoming
Events |

| First up is England’s
opening home game for the 6 nations
on the 7th February against Italy. We are only 4
stops away on the train and only 10-15 minutes by
car (we can also arrange taxis to the ground on
your behalf if you wish). So avoid the rucking around
in Richmond/Twickenham and come to us for a pre-game
brunch with friends or clients. Please contact a
member of our team to make your reservation. Don’t
forget the other England home games at Twickenham
are the 15th and 21st March. If you have friends
or family travelling to London for these matches,
bear in mind that we have 7 hotel rooms available.

| February 16th-20th is
half term. For those of you staying
in Sheen do pop by for a cup of coffee or a baby
chino in the morning and remember our Children’s
menu is available at lunchtime and between 6 and
8pm every evening. |
|
| Valentine's
Day can start well before dinner! The ultimate
romantic couple would celebrate the morning after
the night before with a fabulous sexy Valentine’s
Day breakfast!!! We will be open on Saturday the
14th from 8:30 in the morning and alongside our
normal Saturday brunch we will be offering a lover’s
special of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and
fresh dill and a glass of chilled fizz for just
£12.50. (Rose petals and Lionel Richie songs
available on request). |

| However for the traditionalists
this Valentine's Day at The Victoria we are offering
you three mouth watering courses and a glass of
bubbly for just £40. Reservations are available
at 7pm and 9pm. We’re picking up reservations
fast so please book in quickly to avoid disappointment.
We also still have rooms available!!! . |

| We view Pancake
Day as a very important culinary occasion.
Bring the kids along between 6 and 8 on the 24th
February to enjoy our £11 three course pancake
extravaganza! |

Crispy
duck pancakes, Chinese style
Baked smoked haddock, prawn and wild mushroom
pancakes with a cheese sauce
Traditional Shrove Tuesday pancakes with lemon,
sugar and ice cream
All for a flippin’ great price! |

| Whilst on the subject
of calendars it’s worth booking early for
Mother's Day (March 22nd). On a
Sunday we aim to fit in with you, therefore we can
serve up a roast for you and your family any time
between 12 and 8pm. Look out for more information
in next month’s newsletter! |

Kitchen
News |

| The a la carte menu currently
features some great British classics such as boiled
collar of bacon and steamed ginger sponge. We’ve
also added more contemporary dishes such as salmon
sashimi with cucumber and pickle (as recently featured
on BBC's Saturday Kitchen). |
|
| Look out for up and coming
TV appearances featuring the Victoria’s Paul
Merrett including the ever popular Market Kitchen
where Paul get’s busy cooking alongside the
likes of Tom Parker Bowles, Camilla Dallerup, Roland
Rivron and Samantha Fox. |
|
| Paul’s focus however
remains firmly in the kitchen of The Victoria where
you will find him busy cooking most days! Why not
pop in and ask him to sign a copy of his popular
book, Using the Plot? (which can be purchased
over the bar for a reduced rate). |
|
